IT’S BATH TIME: TOP 10 THINGS TO DO IN THE MOST FAMOUS GEORGIAN CITY!
Welcome to Bath, one of the most beautiful, historic cities in the UK, and a UNESCO Heritage site to boot. Now, we know you’re probably coming for the amazing Roman Baths, the gorgeous Georgian architecture, and the stunning views. But after a busy day of sightseeing, you’ll want to experience a little local flavour too… and here at The Coconut Tree, our vibrant, beach-inspired Sri Lankan restaurant right here on Broad Street, we’ve got flavour to spare with some seriously tasty food, and a range of mouth-watering cocktails too (or ‘cocotails’, as we call them). So, after you’ve done your exploring – come visit us! But first, let us give you the full rundown of what’s not to miss in this charming city we call home…

1. The Roman Baths – Feel Like You’ve Time-Travelled
No trip to Bath is complete without visiting the iconic Roman Baths. These ancient public washing facilities, built nearly 2,000 years ago, are like stepping into a time machine. You get to check out exactly where the Romans soaked their cares away – imagine all the gossip they shared! Sadly, you can’t jump in for a dip yourself (we know, we know), but you’ll get the history and the atmos. And if you’re left standing there in your swimmies wondering where to go, pop by TCT for the feel of a beachside bar that’s anything but dry! 😉

2. The Royal Crescent – Hey, Because You’re Fancy Like That
If you’ve ever dreamed of being in a period drama, the Royal Crescent is the place to feel all fancy. It’s a sweeping, half-moon-shaped row of 30 Georgian townhouses, each one as gorgeous as the next. Stroll along the perfectly manicured lawns, snap some photos, and pretend you’re having afternoon tea with the queen.

3. The Bath Abbey – A Place to Ponder and Be Wow-ed
Let’s talk history (don’t worry, it’s not all boring stuff). Bath Abbey is a magnificent church with serious jaw-dropping wow-factor. It’ll have you staring in awe as you ponder life’s big questions (like, “Why don’t I eat Sri Lankan Hoppers every day?”). Hmmm, plus its stunning architecture and stained-glass windows make you feel like you’re in a Harry Potter movie. And you can climb the tower if you’re feeling adventurous and want a killer view of the city.

4. The Jane Austen Centre – Hello, Austen-ers!
For the literary lovers (or anyone who’s seen the movie versions and secretly wants to be Elizabeth Bennet), the Jane Austen Centre is a must. Here you’ll get a peek into the life of the queen of romantic fiction and how she lived in Bath during the early 1800s. They even have costumes for you to try on – no judgment if you end up looking like Mr. Darcy! And when you come back into the 21st Century, if you want another spicy read, why not try our menu…?

5. The Thermae Bath Spa – Time to Pamper Yourself
So, after being teased by the original Roman Baths, now you get to do the real thing – relax in the natural warm waters that the Romans once bathed in, at the Thermae Bath Spa, the only place in the UK where you can chill in naturally warm, mineral-rich waters. It’s a total zen moment. Afterward, you’ll be so relaxed that you’ll be dreaming of tropical beaches… and guess what, yep, we’ve got those beachy vibes waiting right here at The Coconut Tree.
